Life is about balance they say. And here we have Yakan tiles balanced on straight lines symbolic of the resilient bamboo found on the Sinaluan pattern. The flip side is festive with frayed Yakan edges. Yakan weaves are created by weavers in Zamboanga City using a backstop loom. A full loom of 20 meters consumes over 100,000 meters of thread.
