Kultura and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched the first ever GO LOKAL! pop-up store at SM Makati. DTI Sec Ramon Lopez, DTI USec Nora Terrado, and Teresita Sy-Coson led the ribbon cutting and welcomed guests to a showcase of Philippine craftsmanship for a good cause. GO LOKAL! provides micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) an avenue where they can sell their world-class products to retail and export markets.

The recently concluded MaARTe 2016 Fair had a record-breaking attendance of close to 6,000 visitors over three days. Held at the Penthouse of 8 Rockwell, fashion met homeware in this year's edition as popular local artisans and designers showcased Filipino chic. The prominent craft fair, organised by MaARTe committee members Cedie Lopez-Vargas, Susie Quiros, Armita Rufino, Maritess Pineda, and Mel Francisco, featured a host of intricately created and handcrafted pieces with interesting stories to tell.
